We do not accept Credit/Debit cards. An ATM is available on-site for your convenience.

We open gate admission at 6:30 PM, and the first Dark Descent wagons escape into the forest at 7:00 PM! We are open October weekends (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays). Please see our calendar section for specific dates.

We recommend ages 8 to 88! The Dark Descent hayride and Purgatory Passage indoor haunt are NOT for very young children. We think of 13th Hour Rising as a family event (for the right family!). We are Creepy, Edgy, and Scary—parents or guardians must make that final judgment call.

Yes, light touching by our actors/creatures is allowed to enhance the scare experience.

It is always best to arrive as early as possible. We open gate admission at 6:30 PM. The closer to Halloween it gets, the busier the scaregrounds become.

We fit as many bodies as we safely can on our very large wagons, approximating about 45 to 55 people per trip.

Our Facebook Feed right on this website is the easiest way! If the weather is questionable, please check the feed by 5:00 PM. We also have an automated phone system. If you are in doubt, please call us at (315) 678-2046 before making the trip. Please note: there are NO REFUNDS, NO EXCEPTIONS, and all admission passes must be used during the season they are purchased!

13th Hour Rising is located outdoors on a Christmas tree farm and held in the pitch dark. We hope for dry weather, but if it is wet and cold, please dress appropriately! For your safety, do not wear open-toed shoes or high heels.

Our gates close admission at 10:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays (9:00 PM on Sundays). We will make sure the last guest admitted has gone through and is given ample time to finish both attractions (Dark Descent & Purgatory Passage).

Yes! We have a full food court featuring Hoffmann hot dogs, Gianelli sausage, Cam's Pizza, cider, drinks, chips, candy, hot cocoa, and fresh baked goods from Ontario Orchards and Tops. We also have a heated indoor seating area to get you out of the rain and cold!

Yes. We have a dedicated security team and on-site EMTs for medical emergencies. We have zero tolerance for troublemakers; anyone causing a disturbance will be ejected immediately without a refund so everyone can have a safe, fun experience.

Prohibited items include weapons of any kind, drugs, alcohol, flashlights, cameras, and pets. There is strictly NO SMOKING or vaping on the grounds (we are a Christmas tree farm!). Guests may wear costumes, but face masks and full-face makeup are not permitted.
